Ashumet Pond is wonderful resource for the community. Over the years, it has been renourished with sand to ensure it remains valuable to its owners. The water is tested by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health. PFAS has been detected in the water. While swimming is not health risk, avoid contact with foam (if present) and swallowing water. With that said, it still has much to offer.
